Description
Keykubad Göç ve Kervan Yolu:
🚩 Güneycik - Çıplaklı Etabı (Alanya)
📆 (19-23 Nisan 2025)
Keykubad Migration and Caravan Route awaits you with its millennia-old stories!
A 71 km-long celebration of history, culture, and nature on the mysterious slopes of the Taurus Mountains, atop stones that have witnessed thousands of years.
Day 1: The Whisper of Stones | Güneycik → Aydolin (10 km)
“In the footsteps of the Seljuks, a journey beginning with an ancient sarcophagus…”
We start our walk from Güneycik Village, amidst the forgotten sarcophagi of Tol Öreni and the silent cries of Rome. As we move through the shade of the red pine forests, the grandeur of 13th-century Seljuk architecture greets us at Ali Bridge. This stone arch rising over the Alara Stream, accompanied by the legend that “Hz. Ali built it in one night,” will stir your soul, and you’ll hear the echoes of caravan bells. In the evening, we’ll set up camp in Aydolin Village and breathe in the essence of history under the first stars painted across the sky.
Day 2: The Rhythm of the Forest | Aydolin → Güzelbağ (13 km)
“A journey to the terraced slopes of the Oğuz tribes…”
In the morning, we set off from the cool air of Aydolin and head toward Güzelbağ through terraced slopes. As we follow the traces left by the Oğuz tribes on Danışık Hill, we listen to the stories of thyme-scented honey from Eğrigöl Plateau. When we set up our tents in the schoolyard of Güzelbağ, the stone houses of the village smile at us, calling us “guests.” Around the evening campfire, ancient tales of the Taurus Mountains are shared.
Day 3: The Crossroads of Civilizations | Güzelbağ → Bayırkozağacı (17 km)
“In the shadow of Rome, with the wind of Byzantium…”
In the 860-meter-high morning of Güzelbağ, we walk toward the ancient city of Colybrassus. At 1100 meters, standing in the shadow of the city walls, you’ll imagine the sounds of Roman legionnaires on watch. As the sun dances over the rock-carved tombs, we take a midday break on the steps of the ancient odeon. In the evening, under the cool 950-meter air of Bayırkozağacı, beneath the stars, you’ll ask, “Where did these civilizations disappear to?”
Day 4: The Secret of the Caravans | Bayırkozağacı → Çukurköy → Dereköy → Çoğlu Han (17 km)
“The Sultan’s treasure is hidden in these lands!”
In the morning, as we climb 5 km to reach Çukurköy, you’ll feel the breath of Seljuk horsemen behind you. We continue toward Dereköy, accompanied by the whispers of villagers saying, “The Sultan’s treasure is buried along this path.” In the evening, we stay at the restored Çoğlu Han. Its stone walls hold the prayers of weary caravan travelers. By the fire, as you wonder, “Did Mahmud Seydi breathe here?” you’ll listen to the silence of history.
Day 5: The Final Breath to the Sea | Çoğlu Han → Mahmud Seydi → Kızılalan → Değirmendere (14 km)
“The blue of the Mediterranean, the moment the journey is crowned…”
In the morning, as you gaze at the wooden ceiling of the 1252 mosque in Mahmud Seydi Village, you’ll hear the call of Abdâlân-ı Rûm: “Walk for the sake of the Truth!” In Kızılalan, under the shade of a giant plane tree, while enjoying gözleme made by village women, we listen to the story: “No one has found the treasure beneath the zaviye!” Following the last traces of caravans in the Taşatan Valley, we witness the mystery of the Karadelik Cave on the 4 km stone-paved path. And finally, in Değirmendere, the blue of the Mediterranean greets us with a “Welcome!”
